Patio is Life

If we were to just say our patio and pool is an extension of our home, it would be an understatement. Our NewAir 24” Weatherproof Outdoor Fridge just made things a little more enjoyable.

It’s a huge part of our lives, especially from May through September. It was a huge investment but 100% worth it!

When we built our pool we knew we wanted to put a eventually build and outdoor kitchen. While our design is not currently in the budget, we at least wanted a refrigerator outside.

Kids and adults constantly going in and out creates a huge mess in the kitchen, so in my opinion, adding a fridge was a big necessity. We already have a grill that serves us well, so waiting on a full kitchen isn’t really that big of a deal.



Assembly and Install

Unfortunately, putting a fridge outside, in the extreme Texas heat, requires an outdoor refrigerator.  We couldn’t just run to a big box store and buy a cheap dorm fridge.

Thanks to NewAir, I was able to implement this vital piece of our patio puzzle. We chose the 24″ Weatherproof Outdoor fridge. It is a beautiful, classicweatherproof stainless steel. We won’t have any problem matching other outdoor appliances in the future

Charlie installed this one on an open area of our patio, saving our covered patio for furniture.  Fortunately we already had outlets with the proper covers to close while in use, so assembly was fairly simple.

While I have a very handy husband, pulling electrical wire is one of the few places he draws the line. thankfully we didn’t have to worry about this step.
We went back and forth a little but ultimately choose the larger fridge, designed to hold 160 cans. NewAir also offers a smaller fridge that holds 90 cans if you are working with a smaller space. We have a generously sized yard and regularly have huge parties with 20+ people and so over the course of several hours we could easily go through more drinks and I care to count. We have not officially counted to see if we can actually fit that many.

Does it work?

The fans in the 24” Weatherproof Outdoor Fridge keep the air circulating and this helps to avoid having any areas that get too cold and freeze the drinks. I like a nice cold drink on a hot July day, but a frozen one? Not so much. We set the temperature to 36 degrees and the drinks are consistently cold but never frozen. The kids are getting a kick out of going on the patio to get their sparkling waters from our NewAir fridge.

Setup was easy.  The fridge came with 4 legs that  simplified the leveling process. The legs are long enough to lift the fridge significantly to match a range of counter heights.  This will make implementing it into our future kitchen incredibly easy. Our NewAir 24” Weatherproof Outdoor Fridge also came with wheels, which we installed to make moving it easier. This will allow us to easily access the outlet if we need to plug in anything else.

Satisfaction

The NewAir 24” Weatherproof Outdoor Fridge fridge works well outdoors and looks fabulous on our patio.
