What I’m Wearing

I’m surprised that this week has gone so quickly with my husband gone.

I guess having my Mom here has it’s benefits.

I’m going to REALLY miss my mom, but on the other hand?

We really need to get back to OUR routine, KWIM?

The big question is how will the next 4-5 days go?

Well, on the plus side we got a little shopping in and I finally bought a chambray top. I paired it with my mint skinny cords.

I picked up this springy top at Good Will. It’s GORGEOUS but fits kinda funny and bunchy – from certain angles I looked pregnant.  Let’s not go there again anytime soon. If ever.

This has been one of my favorite tops and how could it NOT be? Anything I get from Anthro is just amazing and awesome.

I **ALWAYS** get compliments when I wear it.

What I’m Wearing

It’s been another crazy week.

My closet is STILL NOT FINISHED but I do have this for you:

I tried to get this written LAST night but that did not happen.

I almost forgot about a meeting I had so, clearly I was there instead of here with a glass of wine writing to you.

When I got home I was trying to make a final decision about what MATH to order for my son. He’s about to wrap up one year and we are ready to start the next. We aren’t done with the entire year, JUST math.

So on this rainy February morning I bring you these  outfits.

I LOVED this outfit. I can’t wait to tell you about MOSS, the store where I got the top, but I’ve been to lazy to fix my hair, much less blog about shopping, so you will have to wait. :-)

We had amazing weather most of the week so I sat outside with the kids for about 2 hours while they played and whined about about playing outside.

They actually had the nerve to ask me if they could bring the ipad outside and play on it out there instead of playing.

Oh, boy.

I think my 8 year old may have a future in photography though. This is UNEDITED.

This was a FUN outfit. I wasn’t entirely sure what to wear with these Celery colored jeans (yellowy green), so I paired them with black and white for simplicity — for now. I may WILL get more daring/brave later and find something with more color to pair them with.

I totally forgot to get a picture of this one until it was dark, and we were headed out for date night. (We went to Cheesecake Factory, because I know you were wondering.) I really like the combo. Sorta. The pants I have doubts about. I need to find another pair of HOT PINK pants. It’s only the 2nd-3rd time I’ve worn them but they fit strange. I guess that means they should go into the donate pile!? Or I should try them a few more times. Decisions.

This is a casual mommy look. I’m torn on the top. I bought it at Ross and the high turtle neck bugs me. This is the first time in 2 years I’ve ACTUALLY worn it all day. It’s a BEAUTIFUL print but I’m not completely sure I want to keep it forever.

What I’m wearing

Ready for this week?

I had some totally lazy moments and didn’t get as many good pictures as I would have liked, but that’s ok.

Yesterday was my birthday. How about we start there? It’s far from my best day. We went to the new ifly (indoor skydiving) so I didn’t bother with my hair and I forgot to get a picture of my outfit WITOUT my jacket until later that night in Kona Grill’s bathroom, so that’s what you get. :-)

This was far more fun. I had a lunch date with a friend and had to (finally) take back the boots that did not work. I was supposed to jump that day, but the winds picked up and the temps started to drop by the time I made it to the drop zone.20130114-205906.jpg

What I’ve been wearing

I had a busy weekend so I wasn’t able to post most of what I wore, so I decided I should save it for a nice big WIWW post.

Here I was Friday. It was chilly and wet and over, yuck. These boots were great, but like the other ones, I just didn’t LOVE Them so they have to go back. The black and white shirt was something I picked up at Target this past summer, it was one of those “designer A for Target” goodies. I love it. It itches. I’m wearing it OVER A thin t-shirt and have a cardigan over that. No one knows but you! Shhh.

Nautical by nature Part. I

Quick TIP for girls in chairs and SHORTS in the summer:

AVOID POCKETS IF POSSIBLE, they pucker out and make you look hippy and the pockets snag on the little things attached to you tires that keep your rims ons. You know what I mean, right? Of course if you have side guards, not so much a concern.

GO LONG. Do not attempt to gracefully wear a 3″ pair of shorts. You may be able to get away with 5″, but 6-7″ will be best. When we sit, the shorts tend to RISE….

 

Now on to pictures. I love nautical things. Especially outfits.

I don’t decorate nautical … much. Only the hall bath and nursery are nautical.

Clothes. This is about clothes.

Here  is one of my favorite nautical – ish outfits. I had others but they were all blurry. I’ll have to remember to let Will (son) take my pictures and not Charlie. (husband)

There is always another day, right?!

Recent Purchases

I went on a mini shopping spree over the last few weeks. Ebay and New purchases. Spring is on the way and there is COLOR everywhere. How could I resist!? Here are a few of the goodies I bought:

I also got these pink cuties. They look hideous on the model (IMO) but I think i ROCK them ;) I’ve already worn the above top with the pink jeans. .. looks totally hot ;) .. . and these are from Old Navy, too
