I will be updating this post as I find more. If you are looking for resources closer to you, I will do my best to help you find them.
As of right now, most of the city of Austin and surrounding suburbs, should have water and electricity restored. Most of us are still under a boil water warning.
Many of us are just wondering which grocery stores have some thing on their shelves in which restaurants might be open and operational.
Others are still just trying to survive after living in a freezing cold house for days with little too no food or water. Some are dealing with the busted pipes and collapsed ceilings and who knows how many thousands of dollars worth of damage.
The city government websites have very valuable, VALID information.
Please be careful, as there will be many people trying to take advantage of the situation for their own benefit.
City of Austin – cold-weather resources
If you can get to a store and need water, natural grocers is offering to let you fill up with your own containers from their reverse osmosis water. I don’t know how long the lines will be for this, so if you choose to go please make sure your a bundle. While everything is melting the temps are still very cold.
