I had these grand plans to right a long gift guide covering men, women, teens and even one for gifts under $50 but life got in the way. I’ve been stressing about not having it finished in time for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I almost didn’t hit publish at all.
Guess what? That’s okay. I don’t actually have any real deadlines. This is just someting I have decided to do. Not a single brand asked me to include them.
This is mostly stuff we have – maybe not the exact item but something close.
Without further ado, a gift guide for the tweens and teens in your life!
2020 Gift guide for the tweens & teens in your life.
01. Sherpa Lined Hoodie – I know my kids wear a hoodie almost daily, even if they aren’t cold. Winter is coming so this sherpa lined hoodie will be warm and cozy as we all hunker down in the coming months.
02. Nintendo Switch – We have 2 of these in our house because I became addicted to Animal Crossing , and made the kids start their own island. My husband was less than amused.
03. Razer gaming headset with microphone – My middle son helped pick this pair for the gift guide. It’s the headset he currently uses and he doesn’t seem to have any issues with it.
04. Bean Bag – Who doesn’t love a beanbag? I think my oldes is the only one who never asked for one. My middle still sits on his all the time and my youngest is getting one this year. Shhhh.
05. Vans Classic slip-on shoes – When I’m a guest teacher at the middle school, I see these all over the hallways. They come in several colors but I would have to say you can’t go wrong if you stick with the classic black and white.
06. LED Lights – My oldest just got these for his sweet 16. No this is not all he’s getting but it’s a start.
07. Smart Phone Video Rig Kit – This is the perfect setup for the up and coming tiktok star in your household. I might need to get this for myself. . . or am I far too old to become a tiktok star?
08. AirPods – These would be great if your virtual student needs to share a room with someone else in the house during their zoom classes and doesn’t want a cord getting in their way.
09. Digital piano – My oldest was in band from 6-9 grade and still really enjoys playing music. He’s never taken a formal piano lesson but has found many lessons on Youtube.
10. Kindle – We are at a point where our kids will be attending school virtually, indefinitely. They don’t have easy access to a library and reading on their phone can be a strain. The Kindle is a great solution for all the assigned and elective reading they will need to do for school.
11. Skates – This will be an excellent way to get a little physical activity in while continuing to social distance. What kid doesn’t like to skate?
12. Hover Board – My youngest got one of these and pretty much everyone in the house except me (duh!) has taken it for a spin. It’s definitely a winner all around.
