HPV
Hi guys. I’m back again to talk about the HPV vaccine and how it’s safe, effective, and provides long-lasting protection in preventing six types of cancer.
I gave you quite a bit of information to digest a few weeks ago. I just wanted to see where you stood (or sat if you use a chair like me!).
Have you talked to your kids’ Pediatrician
Have you had a chance to talk to your pediatrician?
I know these are unprecedented times, and maybe you haven’t yet, and that’s OK. Knowledge is key. I wanted to make myself available to help direct you to an answer to any questions you might still have about the HPV vaccine. And, of course, once again direct you to the American Cancer Society website.
I want to help them, help you, make an informed decision.
Our Decision and Information to help you make an informed decision.
If you read the last post, you may remember that I mentioned my older kids have had the vaccine. I promise, as soon as I can take my youngest to the doctor, we will be 3 for 3 with this vaccine. COVID-19 has made this a little trickier, but we are still working to stay up-to-date on our vaccines.
Various forms of cancer run on both sides of the family, and I never want to see my children suffer. It was a devastating way to lose our parents, and I can’t fathom the pain of losing any of my children.
My kids are getting to the age where I have very little control over their lives, but I still get to make medical decisions. Saying yes to the HPV vaccine gives me the ability to reduce certain types of cancer. I not going to hesitate for even a minute. Surely, by now, it’s clear I have no doubts about where I stand with the HPV vaccine. What about you?
If you still need more information, you can get the facts by visiting Cancer.org. They are a science-based health organization designed to help you be informed.
I’d genuinely love to hear where you are with a plan to get your child vaccinated.
