Last month I had a whirlwind trip to New York City. It may be impossible to believe but it was my first time in the city. Yes. Really.
Yes, we got married and Niagara Falls but we flew into Buffalo. And that was almost 17 years ago, so it doesn’t count.
Charlie takes the boys, individually, around their 10th birthdays, so Lucas and William have both gone. We were pretty sure I would end up being the lone family member who had never been.
A few weeks ago I got a message from a company asking if I would have availability the first week of June.
It was such an incredible opportunity.
There was no way I could say no so I made some calls and Charlie did a little rearranging at the office and we let the leading company take care of the rest.
I’m totally being vague on purpose. I can’t talk about it just yet.
Let’s just say there was hair, makeup and cute clothes. There will eventually be pretty picture (and maybe clothes!).
My event was on Thursday but they flew us in Wednesday morning and put us up in The James hotel in SoHo.
I knew we wouldn’t have time to do much, but visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum was really important to me.
It was definitely emotional.
Everyone said I had to see Times Square, as well, so we picked a restaurant not far from the hustle and bustle.
Del Frisco was amazing. The food was incredible and the service was top notch
This was the view from the rooftop of our hotel and from our hotel bedroom.
It was pretty cool that we could see the One World Trade Center tower.
The weather was just incredible and I had zero sinus and allergy issues.
I won’t complain if this company or other businesses bring me back in the future.
That’s all for now! I can’t wait until I’m allowed to spill all the juice!!!
