If you think about it, your style is more than just clothes. It’s reflected in your home, your car, pretty much everywhere and everything you touch.
Today we are going to talk a little about my home. My kitchen to be exact. When we bought our house, I immediately feel in love with the LAYOUT and size of my kitchen. The cabinets? Not so much. Painting the very orangey-brown oak cabinets was number one on my list and it’s only taken 4 years and 2 other projects to get around it it. Painting the family room and kitchen walls came first (curtesy of a blogging gig) and then our gorgeous pool was high on the priority list after we sold the rental.
The stars eventually aligned and Charlie gave me the green light to call Top Coat (a local company) and schedule the job. I had gotten a couple of other quotes and Daniel was extremely competitive. We chose him because his Facebook reviews were amazing and multiple friends had used him, so I was able to see his work, first hand.
The results? Absolute perfection. It’s exactly what I wanted. My husband said he didn’t realize how badly we needed it but now he understands why I kept begging for white cabinets. It’s so fresh and bright and my already large kitchen looks even bigger.
We had him paint our black table to match and I ordered pink chairs just for fun. Everyone knows I love pink and I’m all about the shock factor when people see son much pink in a house with all boys.
The bench is from the 1800s so it stays as is.
I have a couple of ideas to “complete” the room but for now it’s done. We will be painting the pantry door soon.
Next week I will be back to the regularly scheduled style program but stay tuned for more House posts in the future!
